The Flip: Go Everywhere, Use Any Time

Published by at 8:54 am under Cameras

The Flip Video camcorder is so small, it really is a “go everywhere, use anytime” tool. The quality is quite good for such a small camcorder, and the size, convenience, and ease of use can’t be beat.

It’s been a dismal spring in the Northwest. Cold, rainy – we even has snow for 2 days in mid-April. Most years, one of the big spring attractions in this part of the country is the Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley. Tulip (and other) bulbs are actually grown here in the Pacific Northwest, rather than in Holland. After the blooms die back, the Dutch growers harvest and sell the bulbs. So spring in the tulip fields can be spectacular. Last weekend, on a whim, we took off for a few hours to see if any of the fields were still in bloom.

Dragging a full size camcorder along in iffy weather conditions can present a problem. Do you carry it around all day and risk getting it wet or leave it in the car and risk getting it stolen? The Flip fits in a jacket pocket and weighs almost nothing – problem solved!

And it’s so easy to use, everyone and their dog is doing it….
